With the rumblings that Jim Harbaugh and the LA Chargers are nearing a deal for him to be the team’s next head coach, Todd Anson, a close friend of Harbaugh’s had some interesting tweets about the situation. Based on the post below, you can tell Harbaugh and Anson are close.
Jim & Sarah popped in Sunday unexpectedly to deliver our little Neuroblastoma cancer patient, Grandson Knox, the Rose Bowl Game Ball in our victory over Bama after Jim & JJ dedicated game to him.
We also celebrated the National Championship win!
We are deeply grateful. 💙💛 pic.twitter.com/qiHJzq07jC

Take a look at some of Anson’s recent posts:
When an environment becomes toxic things have to change or you have to make changes yourself. https://t.co/heuDazXNcJ

Seemingly posting about the Athletic Department and AD Warde Manuel cutting Harbaugh’s salary after the 2021 Covid season:
There is a time & season for everything in the talent management business. You can’t let your star talent get loose in the socket or worse seek to chase it away. UM (not Santa) has shamefully handled this. Truth. https://t.co/au5YUwKvrR

There is toxicity that must be addressed, in my opinion. Pay attention to the whole picture. https://t.co/kwcUG0TgLC

“Stood by him” by cutting his salary in half after the Covid 2-4 season, then not restoring him after the B10 Championship season on ‘21 back to where he’d have been under the original contract? Got it. https://t.co/CVff9yzHQ0

On the NCAA/B1G going after Harbaugh:
Look at leadership over-structure if he stays at UM- dysfunction at every level starting with the NCAA, B10, et al. Toxic messes EVERYWHERE. They all want him gone. Where’s Charlie Baker? Tony Petitti, etc. on this? https://t.co/X5UUInJ5i5

It’s our burden to have a Coach so great that both the NFL & the National Champions covet his services, but bear that burden we must. Too bad nobody wants “Born on Third Base.” Has to be disappointing for you. https://t.co/M0rCfOSGKV
