Having just landed the No. 1 transfer portal player in Caleb Downs, a former star freshman at Bama, the Buckeyes are primed to land another elite talent from Alabama. Julian Sayin, an early enrollee QB for the Crimson Tide, entered the transfer portal last week. Sayin, a California native and top 5 recruit in the 2023 class, has seen several predictions in favor of the Buckeyes.
I’ve put a Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) pick in for #OhioState to land #Alabama QB transfer and top-ranked 2024 QB Julian Sayin: https://t.co/Y46qSdhXHA pic.twitter.com/mEj2BDuIL9

Sayin is ranked as 247sports’ No. 6 player in the transfer portal and top overall uncommitted:
Sayin was the top-ranked quarterback in the 2024 recruiting cycle and now reportedly eyes a future at USC or Ohio State, according to Tom Loy. Texas A&M, LSU and Georgia are also candidates. Upon Kalen DeBoer’s arrival at Alabama following Nick Saban’s retirement, Sayin took everything into consideration and filed his portal paperwork after the Crimson Tide’s recent acquisition of Washington quarterback transfer Austin Mack. Previously, Sayin projected to be Alabama’s quarterback of the future.
