With the Presidential election just over a month away and the two candidates about to debate tomorrow night, football has entered into the foray.
The New York Daily News reports that New York Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is tipping his cap towards the Republican party over his own football team.
“Well I think you always have to put country first,” Johnson said. “So I think it’s very, very important that for – not only us – but in particular for our kids and grandkids that this election come off with Mitt Romney and (Paul) Ryan as President and vice president.”
After the Jets 34-0 loss to the 49ers, maybe Johnson is looking for a team that can bring him a win.
