With the rumblings that the B1G is pushing for Michigan to make a statement with Jim Harbaugh as their coach, John U. Bacon, who has been tied closely to Harbaugh’s contract at Michigan, said that an extension with the Maize and Blue is still proceeding.

A wild ride no matter how you swing it but if it becomes the case that Harbaugh sees a game or two suspension and still is the Wolverines coach next year, that would be a major win for the Maize and Blue.
