After Iowa defeated in-state rivals Iowa State on Saturday, Cade McNamara made an interesting comment about his defense scoring points. “Scoring points by a defense, I guess it’s normal around here, but I’m just not used to it.”

This comment was made after Iowa defender Sebastian Castro had a pick-six.

There were also rumblings earlier this month, that when JJ McCarthy asked for help earlier in his career, McNamara denied the future starter.
