With Northwestern firing head coach Pat Fitzgerald following 17 years due to hazing and racist behaviors directed at former players, several names have already popped up about potential replacements. Sharrone Moore, Michigan’s OL/OC coach who was a candidate for the Purdue job last offseason, is apparently one. As well as Ohio State’s WR/OC Brian Hartline, who has produced many 1st round WRs and is the Buckeyes’ ace recruiter. 247sports’ Steve Wiltfong shared both the names:
Several good candidates for #Northwestern but Sherrone Moore should be one of the first calls to talk with. https://t.co/cF1kQ3ZhDm

Most likely Northwestern will go with an interim coach and one that might already be on staff, but it is always possible a B1G school will look in the conference for a replacement.
