Quinn Ewers, the No. 1 prospect in the country for the 2022 class (he decided to enroll at OSU instead of a senior year in high school), has entered his name into the transfer portal after one season in Columbus:
Sources: Top-ranked 2021 quarterback Quinn Ewers has informed Ohio State that he’s entering the transfer portal. Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are among the considerations for his next stop. https://t.co/SLZdtGIyNp

Ewers was reportedly given a 1M NIL deal upon arriving at Ohio State and has now left before even the bowl game and after losing to Michigan.
With the Buckeyes sticking with CJ Stroud, a redshirt freshman, for nearly the entire season, this isn’t completely a surprise. Stroud put up huge numbers and has at least one more year at OSU.
Ohio State also recently picked up a commitment from four-star 2022 QB Devin Brown, a former USC pledge. Likewise, the Buckeyes also have Kyle McCord, a former five-star QB, on the roster.
