Harbaugh Shares Why JJ McCarthy Didn’t Play Against PSU

After Cade McNamara saw all the action in Saturday’s win over Penn State, Harbaugh shared that it was just the situation and JJ McCarthy was ready:
Harbaugh says JJ McCarthy not playing Saturday was a product of how the game went and how Cade is playing. As far as if that means he’s the long term guy: “Everybody rents that position. Nobody owns that position. You lease, at best.”
Jim Harbaugh had a question about whether Cade McNamara has established himself as the long-term answer at quarterback. “Everybody rents” that position, he said, nobody owns it.
