Mel Tucker, who is the odds on favorite (according to Vegas) to take the LSU job, was asked about the open Tigers position ahead of Saturday’s in-state showdown:
Here was Mel Tucker's response today when asked about his name being linked to the @LSUfootball HC job.
My two cents: I'm more than confident that @MSU_Athletics would be willing to match any financial offer LSU drums up. Not to mention a much stronger support system in EL 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/XeQzhIOz32

Tucker of course told Colorado he wasn’t leaving before bolting to East Lansing within 48 hours.
It’s noteworthy that MSU coach Mel Tucker didn’t completely shut down the LSU talk. He probably learned his lesson from Colorado — never say never. I put him leaving at just less than 50%, but it’s certainly possible. Anyone who says otherwise isn’t being honest with themselves.
