After reports surfaced that safety coach Bob Shoop wasn’t working with the DBs yesterday, Michigan released the following:
#Michigan statement on defensive assistant Bob Shoop: "Bob Shoop is not working with the team in an on-field coaching capacity at this time. He is performing team-related duties remotely. In consideration of his privacy interests, we will have no further comment."

Here’s who coaching the safeties:
Shoop, in his first year at #Michigan as safeties coach, is the former defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, Tennessee, Penn State, Vanderbilt and elsewhere. Aashon Larkins, a defensive analyst for the team, is working with the Wolverines' safeties.
