“We just gotta get tougher. It’s pretty simple. Teams are out-toughing us. …That’s tough, especially to a school like that, that don’t even focus on [being tough].”

I don't understand what people mean when they say a program isn't known for being tough. And a successful program at that. What does tough look like or act like? Seems all made up perception. Which is understandable. It's way too influential in sports
