LeBron James’ Cousin Commits to Notre Dame for Football

Jamel James of Cinco Ranch Texas, became the 18th commit for the University of Notre Dame’s 2013 football class on Saturday.  The 5-foot-11, 215 pound running back announced his intent to play for the Irish on his twitter account.

James, a consensus 4-star prospect to Scout and 247 Sports, picked ND over West Virginia and Oklahoma State among other schools. During his junior year, James rushed for 1,011 yards and 16 touchdowns.

As James mentioned on twitter, he is cousins with NBA super star, LeBron James.  He is  drawing comparisons to former Irish running back, Jerome Bettis, because of his physical style of running.
