According to some people on Twitter, the Watch ESPN app, which had as many as 1.7 million users at one point during the match, didn’t work very well during USA-Germany. Pretty bad timing for such a crucial app to stop working. Univision was also live streaming the game, so hopefully people just started to use that. For what it’s worth, my Watch ESPN app worked the whole time. You’d think with a new $125 million studio that they could afford some better servers for their Watch ESPN app.
My WatchESPN app was just fine until I started reading tweets that it was crashing. Yinz jinxed me!

Very happy that @espn won’t load. That way I can’t watch the #USAvGERMANY #WorldCup2014 game. Also, the @XFINITY app keeps crashing. #boo
