After the United States topped Ghana 2-1 in their Group G opening World Cup match, Delta Airlines tweeted out the above image of the Statue of Liberty representing the U.S. with the number 2, and a giraffe representing Ghana with the number 1. As EasyTrackGhana.com, a Ghana traveling site notes, “There are no giraffes or zebras or leopards living anywhere in Ghana. ” Good job good effort, Delta. The Tweet has since been deleted, and Delta has issues an apology as seen below:
