Wayne Simmonds completes Gordie Howe Hattrick with fight against Tanner Glass

Wednesday night’s Philadelphia Flyers-Pittsburgh Penguins game had all the makings of a playoff game. Two intense rivals fighting to the bitter end, and a fully packed barn that was rocking. Wayne Simmonds had a fantastic game against the Penguins, recording two goals, one assist and a fight in the Flyers 6-5 win.
For those of you that don’t know, a Gordie Howe Hattrick is a game in which you record at least one fight, assist and goal. The Flyers pulled out the game with a terrible goal late, but not before there were quite a bit of fireworks. Simmonds was beating Tanner Glass early in this fight, but Glass finished strong to make this tilt a draw. I can’t wait to see these two teams play again.
