Raffi Torres levels Jarrett Stoll, faces hearing with Shanahan
Published
San Jose Sharks forward Raffi Torres has a track record of laying down some questionable hits and his hit on Los Angeles Kings forward Jarrett Stoll is his latest one. At first the hit didn’t seem to be that bad, but upon further review it seems as though Torres initial point of contact is with Stoll’s chin. Torres received two-minutes for charging on the play and Stoll never returned after that shift. With Torres history the NHL has decided to take a look at this hit and he faces an in person hearing with Brendan Shanahan. My guess is that despite Torres clean play for most of this year, his past discretions will result in him getting a suspension for a few games.
