Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane had gotten off to a slow start in Western Conference Final against the Los Angeles Kings until he switched to eating sushi before games. It appears to be working because he came through in the clutch in Game 5.
In double overtime, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews set up Patrick Kane for the perfect one-timer off a no look pass. Kane buried it into the back of the net past a diving Jonathan Quick to complete his hat trick and followed the goal up with an epic celebration. The goal sends the Chicago Blackhawks into the Stanley Cup Final to face the Boston Bruins and it is the first Original Six matchup in the Stanley Cup Final since 1979. It’s also important to note that this is the first Stanley Cup Final that the Bruins and Blackhawks have faced each other in.
Also, let’s not forget this fantastic goal that Kane scored to open his scoring in Game 5. The patience he showed was just incredible.
