With time winding down in the third period, the Minnesota Wild held a narrow 2-1 lead over the Los Angeles Kings. Kings defenseman Slava Voynov had a chance with 14 seconds left and Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom made a diving save to keep the lead. Backstrom actually missed the puck with his glove and his flailing leg hit the puck at the last second. It was a huge win for the Wild who are currently fighting for a playoff spot and are only in 7th place by two points with two games left.
