Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk is no stranger to throwing questionable hits at his opponents. On Wednesday, he was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for kneeing Washington Capitals forward Mathieu Perreault. It was reviewed by Brendan Shanahan and determined he hit him in the thigh and not on the knee.
On Saturday, Zolnierczyk leveled Ottawa Senators forward Mike Lundin, and Zolnierczyk might not be as lucky to escape a suspension this time. Zolnierczyk launched himself into Lundin, who had his head down going across the middle of the ice, which is a cardinal sin. Zolnierczyk was given a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct, while Lundin has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Zolnierczyk discipline hearing tomorrow afternoon for hit on Lundin.
