The Pittsburgh Penguins are a very frustrated team, and why shouldn’t they be? They have been scoring plenty of goals to win games, yet they are only tied 2-2 with the New York Islanders through four games.
After the horn blew to end game four, Jarome Iginla and Matt Martin started pushing and shoving. That’s when both teams came together and Evgeni Malkin and Travis Hamonic actually dropped the gloves. All it took was for Hamonic to throw one punch before Malkin’s teammates jumped in to separate the two of them. Chris Kunitz was the first one in there, but as he held Hamonic down, Malkin threw a healthy dose of upper cuts at Hamonic.
A scrum would ensure and eventually be broken up. It’s safe to say that Malkin could handle himself, but the last thing you need is one of the best players in the world to break his hand during a meaningless fight. This will certainly raise the tension for game five.
