One of the Dallas Stars fan’s were poking around the wallpaper section of the Dallas Stars official app, when he stumbled upon this new logo and posted it on Twitter. The Dallas Stars had been planning to release their new logo and uniforms on June 4th, but it appears someone may have accidentally let the logo leak.
The Dallas Stars haven’t confirmed whether the leak is real or not, but considering it came from their official team app, someone is likely to be in a lot of trouble. The talk is the logo featured there is going to be the logo on the shoulder, while the main logo appears next to Jamie Benn’s foot in the 2nd photo on the right.
It appears that they took the same Stars logo that they have been using, swapped out the gold for silver, and then placed a D in the center of it.
I understand the desire for change, though I’m not sure it was necessary. The new logo doesn’t look that much better and personally, I think the gold went better with the green and black than the silver. One thing is certain though, Stars fans better be hopeful that the new logo is the one by Benn’s foot and not the one in the circle, because that logo as a primary logo would be a significant downgrade.
