This isn’t the first time that this has happened, and it’s just further evidence that the NHL needs a coaches challenge. A puck deflected up into the netting but the referees missed it and play continued. You would think/hope that this wouldn’t turn into something bad, but alas, it did. The Columbus Blue Jackets went on to score and add to their lead. Maybe one day the NHL will finally get the review system perfected to prevent this, I was under the impression that Toronto could stop the play if this happened.
