After their game had been postponed from Friday night to Saturday afternoon because of the manhunt for the remaining Boston Marathon bombing suspect, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins had a few special gestures. The Boston Bruins added a “Boston Strong” patch to their jersey and wore Massachusetts State Police, city of Boston Police and Watertown Police hats during warmups. While the Pittsburgh Penguins added a “Boston 617 Patch” to their uniforms. For those of you that don’t know, 617 is the area code for the city of Boston. Very classy gestures by both teams, and it’s cool to see everyone unite during this very trying time.
