Country music singer Kenny Chesney was in Seattle for a concert on his No Shoes Nation Tour and he had a little down time. Chesney met Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll a few years ago and the two have kept in touch. When Carroll heard Chesney would be in town, he asked Chesney if he would like to come out and practice and clearly Chesney didn’t hesitate to accept.
I’m sure he picked up a few pointers from Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice, and Chesney actually didn’t look too bad running routes. Chesney told People Magazine:
“You know when you’ve caught a pass from Russell Wilson. It’s not like when we play football backstage … it’s pretty serious. And I caught a few of ’em, too. So it was a really good day!”
