Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Evan Mathis sent out this tweet on Thursday night, sending the media into a frenzy. Everyone assumed that he was bullying rookies and jumped to conclusions without asking him for a comment. Turns out it was only a prank to prove a point with the media. Adam Schefter cracked the code on Friday morning:
Remember the $64K+ bill @EvanMathis69 tweeted about? Read first letter of each item: ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS-ROSHAMBO… pic.twitter.com/B23lwCyrpa

And then Mathis sent out the following tweets:
Last night was fun. Thanks for the great reactions. pic.twitter.com/WMNSXjM8WH

@ProFootballTalk Hey Florio, the lesson was to not jump to conclusions with little to no info like your site did with Lane’s tweet.

@ProFootballTalk For his tweet and mine, it wouldn’t have been hard to reach someone, anyone for comment.

That’s what we like to refer to as dropping the mic. People probably should have guessed it was a prank considering Mathis’ history.
Can I go to the Humane Society to adopt @AmandaBynes? She’d be such an entertaining pet.
