Kendrick Perkins announced last night that he plans on signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers once he’s bought-out by the Utah Jazz. While several teams were courting the 30-year-old center, he apparently decided between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Perkins’ reason for signing with the Cavs over the Bulls? The Cavs were more likely to win an NBA Championship and having a larger role.
Kendrick Perkins believes the Cavaliers had the best chance to win this season & saw a likely larger role there than in Chicago, per source.

Perkins, who was averaging 4 ppg. and 5 rebounds this season with OKC, will backup Timofey Mozgov in Cleveland.
