Yu Darvish’s perfect game broken up by Marwin Gonzalez on final out

Yu Darvish came up just short needing one final out for the 24th perfect game in MLB history. Darvish retired the first 26 but couldn’t get the 27th and final batter, Astros’ Marwin Gonzalez, who singled up the middle. At least Darvish still got the W with 14 strikeouts on 111 pitches, and managed to put a smile on his face after Gonzalez’s single.
