It’s one of the scariest scenes in baseball, Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ was hit squarely in the head by a line drive off the bat of Tampa Bay Rays’ Desmond Jennings in the second inning of Tuesday’s game a Tropicana Field. Happ was down for several minutes holding the left side of his head while being treated by trainers, but was giving the thumbs-up while leaving the field on a stretcher. Desmond Jennings finished on third base on the play, and was obviously shaken with the outcome of his hit. Hopefully this is not a serious injury to Happ.
