Husband bails on wife to avoid flying bat at Angels game

During the 2nd inning of the Houston Astros-Los Angeles Angels game, Astros J.D. Martinez lost the handle of his bat and it went flying into the stands.  At this point, a husband in the stands chose to get up and run away as the bat flew towards him and his wife, rather than stay and protect her.  Leaving her to fend for himself probably got this man in a lot of trouble when they got home, especially because the guy behind them got the bat.
