Kingston Frontenacs defenseman Ryan Hutchinson took exception to a hit from behind he took from Erie Otters forward Jake Evans during a recent OHL game. Hutchinson went after Evans and Evans turtled during the fight. After Hutchinson was pulled off of Evans, he tried to kick an opponents helmet into the stands and fell down after making contact. Then as he skated off the ice, he smashed his helmet on the ground and then picked up a chair and threw it at a door.
Hutchinson received an instigator penalty and a misconduct while Evans received a penalty for hitting from behind. I get Hutchinson’s anger for the dirty hit that Evans threw at him, and this is a temper tantrum that would make Bobby Knight proud. Thank god for YouTube for moments like these.
