Drew MacIntyre makes absurd behind-the-back glove save
Published
Late in the second period, the Toronto Marlies and the Rochester Americans were in a 3-3 tie game in the first round of the AHL Playoffs. Marlies goalie Drew MacIntyre was caught in a vulnerable position and new he wouldn’t be able to get across the crease to make the save. In desperation, he threw his glove behind his back and managed to catch and trap the puck with his glove and back. This was easily one of the greatest saves I’ve ever seen and was pure highway robbery. The Marlies went on to win the game 6-3 to take an early lead in their playoff series.
