During the 3rd round at The TPC Blue Monster at Doral, Tiger Woods hit a tee shot on number 17 that went directly into a palm tree and got stuck. Obviously this shot didn’t end up hurting Tiger Woods as he cruised to his second victory of the year, finishing -19 at The WGC-Cadillac Championship.
It was however, something that doesn’t happen very often. Golf balls get lost and go into the water, but rarely do they get stuck directly into a tree. To have this happen, Woods had to hit the perfect shot and hit the tree in the exact perfect spot. The video does a good job explaining the stroke penalty and the procedure Woods had to go through, but short of this bad shot, Woods had no trouble dominating at Doral.
