So just to confirm – 10 yrs ago Gerry McIlroy & three friends put £400 at 500-1 on 15 year-old Rory to win The Open before he turned 26.

Rory McIlroy’s dad could be in for a helluva pay day if his son holds on at The Open Championship on Sunday. That’s some serious faith in your kid to put this kind of money down at the age of 15. Wonder what bookie was dumb enough to take a bet like this.
