Report: Ohio State Assistant Set To Be Next Cincinnati Coach

ESPN’s Dan Dakick is reporting that Ohio State defensive coordinator is set to be the next head coach at the University of Cincinnati.

Kerry Coombs, OSU’s cornerbacks and specials teams coach, is expected to be the Fickell’s defensive coordinator with the Bearcats.

Tommy Tuberville stepped down from Cincinnati after finishing 4-8 this past season. Fickell, 43, played for the Buckeyes and was the OSU interim head coach in 2011 after Jim Tressel’s departure.
