Scout.com’s Sam Webb is out in Beaverton, Oregon taking in 2016 The Opening. While Donovan Peoples-Jones, the top WR in the 2017 class isn’t participating in the event because of an injury, there are still rumblings that Michigan continues to gain momentum with the five-star Detroit product.

Webb notes in the article ($) that Peoples-Jones’ mom had positive things to say about Michigan’s attentiveness to academics and about their medical school. Webb also added that mom’s comments don’t mean DPJ has Michigan as a leader or that he is going to Michigan.
