While talking with media on Wednesday, Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno had an interesting quote regarding true freshman QB Zach Gentry. Asked about his long-term view for Gentry, the No. 8 pro-style QB in the 2015 class, here’s what Drevno had to say:
“I think so, yeah, and we’ll evaluate that as that goes on,” Drevno told MLive.com. “As we enter into spring ball and bowl preparation and things (we’ll look at him). But right now he’s a quarterback, and he’s doing some things. Doing a nice job.”
It was rumored in the summer that the former four-star product would get some run at tight end this year. A Eldorado High School in New Mexico product, Gentry stands at 6-foot-7, and reportedly runs a 4.6 40-yard dash. Gentry has yet to see the field this year. Watch his high school highlights below:
