McNeil, who was recently fired as the head coach of ECU, has a very close relationship to Jim Harbaugh. McNeil, who nearly became the DC under Harbaugh at Stanford before accepting the ECU job, told Tom Shanahan of TodaysU.com, “I love Coach Harbaugh. I would work for Jim Harbaugh in a heartbeat.”
