Isaac Nauta, the nation’s No. 1 TE and the No. 9 player in the 2016 class, was in Ann Arbor this past weekend. Nauta, who has family in Grand Rapids (Mi.), traveled to see the Michigan – MSU game with his aunt and two cousins. According to Allen Trieu of Scout.com, ‘Michigan is trending up for Nauta’. Via the Detroit Free Press:
“I was surprised, very surprised by how much I liked it at Michigan,” Nauta told Scout’s Chad Simmons. “It was just a great experience up there. This visit opened my eyes. Michigan moved up my list and everything was great there. The football program is going in the right direction and a Michigan degree carries a lot of weight.”
Many believe that Georgia will be the Wolverines’ biggest competition when the five-star makes his college decision on Jan. 9 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
