Maryland Hires Michigan Analyst Matt Barnes To Be LB Coach

D.J. Durkin has hired Michigan defensive analyst Matt Barnes, Roman Stubbs of the Washington Post is reporting.

Maryland announces that Michigan defensive analyst Matt Barnes will serve as linebackers coach. He also coached under DJ Durkin at Florida.

Barnes, who made $50,000 last year on Michigan’s staff, will serve as the Terps’ linebacker coach.

While both Jedd Fisch and Chris Partridge were mentioned as candidates for positions with Maryland, Barnes is the first staff member Durkin has brought from Michigan.
