Biff Poggi, the head coach of the Gilman High School football team for the last 19-years, stepped down from his position. Could Poggi, whose son Henry Poggi is a FB/TE for the Wolverines, be headed to Ann Arbor to coach Michigan? According to the Baltimore Sun, Poggi has been offered an assistant position:
“I’ve been offered an assistant head coaching position at Michigan and if I can work it out, I would like to do a year there,” said Poggi, who was an assistant coach at Brown, The Citadel and Temple before he came back to Gilman.
Poggi is also sending two of his lineman – Devrey Hamilton and Stephen Spanellis – to Ann Arbor this fall.
