History:
Prior to joining Michigan, worked at Western Michigan University where he held roles as the assistant coach for the defensive line and later as the recruiting coordinator. During his tenure at WMU, he played a pivotal role in developing a formidable pass rush, with the team recording 31 sacks in the 2022 season. His mentorship led to players like Braden Fiske and Andre Carter earning All-Mid-American Conference honors.
Before his time at WMU, Denham was the defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) from 2018 to 2020. Under his guidance, UIndy achieved a 19-4 record and made two NCAA Division II playoff appearances. All four of his starting defensive linemen received All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors during his tenure.
Denham’s coaching career also includes a five-year stint at Wabash College, where he contributed to a 47-8 record and two NCAA Division III playoff appearances. Additionally, he spent five years at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, serving in various capacities, including associate head coach and special teams coordinator.
