Marquan McCall, a four-star offensive guard out of Oak Park, Michigan, is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the Great Lakes State for 2018. Rivals’ Josh Helmholdt believes, that while Michigan isn’t pushing too hard right now for the 6-foot-3, 323-pounder, they will be the pick on signing day.
Michigan seems to have two different recruiting seasons: an early, offer-barrage and then a get-serious time that starts late fall and finishes on Signing Day. Although McCall’s progression has seen some ups and downs and Michigan does not appear to be pushing too hard right now, expect them to be serious about McCall down the stretch because of his raw talent and two-way versatility.
