The Twitter account for the Houston Chronicle had a day to forget on Thursday. After Urban Meyer revealed to media that his team practices a field-goal return play called ‘Bama’, one Chronicle employee seemly forget to switch his Twitter account before replying.
Here’s how it went down. Tim Shoemaker of ElevenWarriors tweeted out the following:
Urban Meyer says Ohio State now practices a field goal return play. The name? “Bama."

Then the Chronicle sent out this bad-tasting tweet in the direction of Shoemaker:
For instance, it appears somebody may have forgot to sign out of their personal account. pic.twitter.com/62TCwTypqY

They (Houston Chronicle and the user) quickly issued an apology for the tweet:
A tweet regarding Ohio State was meant to be sent from a personal account. It was in poor taste, was deleted and we apologize for the error.
