Four-Star LB Drew Singleton Tears ACL

According to NorthJersey.com, four-star Paramus Catholic linebacker Drew Singleton is expected to miss the remainder of his senior campaign after tearing his ACL.

Drew Singleton’s last high school football game took place, ironically enough, in Ann Arbor.

His next football game may happen there, too.

Singleton, considered the No. 2 prospect in New Jersey by ESPN and the No. 3 inside linebacker in the nation, has a torn ACL in his knee and probably will miss the remainder of the season, multiple sources – including one close to the Paramus Catholic football program – told The Record on Thursday.

Singleton’s knee injury may have originated in the spring when he was competing in the high jump for the Paramus Catholic track team. He raised eyebrows when he missed the Paladins’ last quad scrimmage against Timber Creek, Brick Memorial and Woodrow Wilson. But at the time, the injury was deemed nothing serious.

The Wolverines and Clemson appear to be the front-runners for the No. 60 recruit in 2017.
