According to AL.com, the domestic abuse charges by a 24-year-old on Alabama DT Jonathan Taylor, who was kicked off the team, will be received at a later time. Via Matt Zenitz of AL.com, the accuser recanted her original statements from March 28th that Taylor “caused injuries to her neck” and “damaged her property”.
She contacted police Monday to recant her claims and told investigators that Taylor had not harmed her during the incident.
The accuser was further interviewed by police Tuesday and maintained that she had lied about the details of the incident Saturday.
She was charged with false reporting to law enforcement and placed in county jail before being posting bond and being released.
It’s still unknown if Taylor will be re-instated by Alabama, but it sounds highly unlikely:
