Top 100 shooting guard, Kenny Williams, committed to VCU before the start of his senior season. Following news that VCU head coach Shaka Smart accepted the Texas position, however, Williams has asked to be released of his letter of intent.

Several schools who were going after Williams the first time around- North Carolina, Georgetown and Michigan – appear to be doing the same now after his decommitment.
Five crystal ball predictions were made for Williams on Thursday evening with Michigan receiving four of the five predictions. Georgetown is the other school.
For Michigan, if Caris LeVert decides to forgo his senior season and departs for the NBA, Williams would possibly take the open scholarship guard spot.

Similarly for UNC, following news that J.P. Tokoto is heading to the NBA, UNC has an opening at guard. They could still land Brandon Ingram but he seems to be trending for Duke or Kentucky.
