Brooks, the No.112 recruit in 2017 to 247sports, recently received offers from Villanova (his dream school), Ohio State and North Carolina State. The 6-foot-1,170-pounder averaged 25 points per game last season for Spring Grove High School.
“I think it did surprise a lot of people, but when you’re making a decision as important as this, you have to take away the feelings of a dream you had as a little kid,” Brooks told Cityofbasketballlove. “Villanova’s a great school and a great program, but in my heart, Michigan just felt right.”
Brooks joins SG Jordan Poole as the two members of Michigan’s 2017 class.
