Michigan and Michigan State square off against each other next Saturday. One MSU writer, Graham Couch, is making sure the No. 1 ranked Spartans aren’t playing a ranked Wolverine team. Couch, who writes for the Lansing State Journal, has a very interesting ballot:
Just saw the AP ballots
Texas is 10-5
Michigan is 14-3
Michigan wins @ Texas
But @Graham_Couch has Texas at #16, Michigan unranked
Had Texas #12 in his poll Week 6, moved them to #13 after losing at home to Michigan in Week 7
How does he have a vote

Next Saturday at noon in East Lansing is the one time the two in-state rivals will play this year.
Couch’s explanation:
I like this Michigan team a lot. But Texas had a better overall resume entering this week. Here you go on Texas: https://t.co/QDDgY1meKG
