When No.8 seed Kentucky and No. 7 seed UConn take the floor Monday night at AT&T Stadium, it will be the highest combined seeds for a National Championship game since seeding began in 1979. According to SportsCenter, this year’s seed total of 15 is four point higher than the next highest title game between No.3 seed UConn and No. 8 seed Butler in 2011, and five points above the 1980 game between No.2 seed Lousiville and No. 8 seed UCLA.
