Michigan Trying To Redshirt QB Shane Morris

With Saturday’s Michigan game in hand against Oregon State, it wasn’t backup QB Shane Morris going in the game to down the ball but instead Wilton Speight. The reason? It appears Michigan is trying to get a redshirt on the junior QB this year:

Harbaugh: Shane's the no. 2 quarterback. Not going to play Shane in that position because he's in his junior year and has played 2 years.

Harbaugh says Shane Morris is still the #2 quarterback despite Speight coming in at the end.
